“I feel a bit overwhelmed.” I confessed.
“Why’s that?” Merl asked, as he finished serving and picked up his knife and fork to dig into the meal.”
“Your hospitality is so gracious. I don’t feel I deserve it.”
“Hospitality is not something you need to deserve,” Jack said, bringing his glass to the center of the table to offer a toast. “It is a gift. To our new friend John,” he said.
