When we “who through pride are rebellious and insolent” pray “may your name be sanctified,” we are requesting to learn how “to fear and to venerate his name.” Accordingly, the gift of the fear of the Lord is given, so that “upon entering the heart this gift creates the virtue of humility, which heals the disease of pride, so that the humble man may arrive at the kingdom of heaven.”
